  • Q1: What is Skinvive? Skinvive is an injectable treatment designed to improve skin quality and hydration. It uses a formulation of hyaluronic acid to enhance skin texture, elasticity, and overall appearance.

Q2: How does Skinvive work? Skinvive works by delivering hyaluronic acid directly into the skin, providing deep hydration and stimulating collagen production. This helps to improve skin firmness and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Q3: How many sessions are needed? Most people benefit from a series of treatments, often starting with 2 to 3 sessions spaced a few weeks apart. Your provider will tailor a plan based on your specific needs.

  • Pre-Treatment Instructions

    • Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to treatment as it may thin the blood and increase the risk of bruising.

    • Discontinue any products containing retinal 2 days before treatment.

    • If you do not feel well, have a rash, cold sore, or blemish in the treatment area please reschedule at least 24 hours in advance.

    Post Treatment instructions

    • Do not touch, rub, or manipulate areas for the first 24 hours following treatment. Lumps in the injected area are normal and typically dissipate over the next several weeks.

    • Avoid vigorous exercise and heat for 3 days. It is best to avoid make-up for the first 24 hours.

    • Bruising in the area injected is normal and expected. Bruising usually lasts one week but can last up to several weeks.

    • Do not apply products that are potentially irritating for 2 days (Retin-A, glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide, hydroquinone, etc). Perform a test spot prior to using these products by applying a small amount to the treated area, if there is any irritation, remove product and perform another spot test in 24-48 hours. Resume products when there is no sense of irritation.

    • Avoid intense heat (sunbathing, sauna) or extreme cold for the first 2 weeks to avoid further inflammation to the area.

    • Touch-ups may be done in 4-6 weeks if needed.

    • Avoid laser, IPL or skin tightening treatments of the area for at least 2-3 weeks, especially treatments that create heat in the dermis. Radio Frequency skin tightening treatments that treat deeper levels of dermal tissue are not recommended in the injected area post treatment for 3 months.
